A proud native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Deborah made a bold and inspiring life change in February 2023. After retiring from a fulfilling career in public service, she sold her home, packed four suitcases, and drove across the country to Arizona in search of a new adventure. What she discovered was her own version of utopia — a place where she is now embracing life with joy, purpose, and renewed energy.

In May 2025, Deborah took another bold step by competing in the Ms. Arizona Senior America Pageant, earning the title of third runner-up. It was a rewarding and empowering experience, adding another vibrant chapter to her journey of reinvention.

This year also marks Deborah’s third time modeling for Courage Under Cancer, a program that holds deep personal significance. Her passion for the cause is fueled by the heartbreaking loss of her mother to pancreatic cancer, as well as two close relatives to breast cancer.

Cancer touches people from all walks of life, and for Deborah, participating in this event is a meaningful way to honor the strength and resilience of survivors, caregivers, and those we hold in memory. It’s her heartfelt tribute — and a powerful act of giving back.
